Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated High School Math Teacher to join our team and contribute to the academic success of our students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and the ability to inspire and motivate high school students.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum

- Provide instruction in Grade 9-12 Math

- Utilize different teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles

- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning

- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student development

- Offer tutoring and extra help to students as needed

Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

- Teaching certification or license

- Previous experience in teaching high school students is preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (required)

Experience:

  • Teaching: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Ontario Certified Teacher (preferred)
