Develop action plans based on safety performance, including targeted audits, monthly campaigns, and training initiatives.
Act as a resource for HSE-related inquiries and ensure site leadership is actively engaged in incident investigations.
Lead and support incident investigations during high-intensity TA mobilizations, reviews, and corrective action planning.
Oversee timely and accurate completion of incident and safety reports, including lessons learned and corrective actions.
Identify and promote opportunities to recognize positive safety performance at individual, team, and milestone levels.
Collaborate with client HSE and leadership personnel to strengthen safety partnerships.
Provide direct oversight to Site HSE Advisors, maintaining 25% office / 75% field presence during TA projects.
Assess competency of HSE Advisors, providing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities.
Set and uphold high standards of work while fostering a positive, high-performing HSE team culture.
Manage administrative responsibilities for HSE Advisors (timesheets, scheduling, and shift coordination).
Address and resolve performance or morale issues within the HSE team, escalating where necessary.
Maintain accurate safety documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and corrective action registers.
Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and safety performance trends to the Leadership Team.
Ensure completion and distribution of all CAM and client-required safety reports.
Deliver presentations highlighting safety trends, achievements, gaps, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Recommend personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, and corrective measures within the HSE team.
Partner with the Site Manager and Corporate HSE Manager to align safety initiatives and reporting.
Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive HSE experience within Turnarounds, industrial, maintenance, construction, or oil & gas environments.
Strong working knowledge of Alberta OHS Act, Regulation, and Code.
Experience conducting safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with field teams during high-intensity Turnaround mobilizations while maintaining compliance standards.
