We are currently seeking an experienced, independent Journeyperson Electrician for service and small projects.

Calgar Electric has been serving the light industrial, commercial and residential sector needs of Victoria, BC since 1983. We are a reputable company serving a solid customer base in the Greater Victoria area.

Our primary focus on service has given us the opportunity and insight to repair and maintain specialized equipment and systems for many fields including medical/dental, veterinary, property management, strata, print making, food processing, restaurant, vehicle dealerships, fabrication, and more. We have the same service-first mentality in whatever we do

Key Responsibilities:

Ability to work independently, manage communication, scheduling/ completion with clients, and reporting of assigned tasks, . Must supply own hand tools and basic power tools.

Experience:

Previous experience in service calls required. Applicants must have excellent customer service and communication skills, a positive attitude, high attention to detail, safety, cleanliness, basic computer skills, and an interest to expand their knowledge base. Experience/ certification in use of lift equipment, fire alarm systems, data/ fiber-optics, thermography, 3-phase systems up to 750v, and FSR/Master designation are an asset.

Hourly pay, benefits/ bonuses will based on experience/ responsibilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
