REPORTS TO: Parks & Cemetery Supervisor
LOCATION: Paris Parks

Responsibilities/Duties (Parks Students):
  • General Park maintenance.
  • Grass cutting and trimming
  • Grooming/lining sports fields.
  • Washroom cleaning.
  • Park Garbage and completing inspections and daily tasks within the community.
  • Pool & Splash Pad Maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities/Duties (Horticulture Students):
  • Watering plants and planters.
  • Spring and Fall Garden clean up.
  • Planting flowers and garden areas.
  • Garden and flower bed maintenance.
  • Tree maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
  • Must be able to perform manual work.
  • Able to implement safe work practices.
  • Able to operate light and medium equipment.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Any Horticultural experience / interest is an asset.
  • Valid Driver's license (G or G2).
  • The successful applicant must submit a current driver's abstract and current Criminal Records Police Check satisfactory to the County prior to start date. 
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work afternoon and weekend shifts on a rotating basis.
  • Standard First Aid/CPR C/AED training.
  • CSA approved work boots must be personally supplied by the successful candidate.
Duration: May to August (40 hours/week)
Hourly Rate: $18.39 / rate)
