REPORTS TO:  Parks & Cemetery Supervisor LOCATION:  Paris Parks Responsibilities/Duties (Parks Students): General Park maintenance. Grass cutting and trimming Grooming/lining sports fields. Washroom cleaning. Park Garbage and completing inspections and daily tasks within the community. Pool & Splash Pad Maintenance. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities/Duties (Horticulture Students): Watering plants and planters. Spring and Fall Garden clean up. Planting flowers and garden areas. Garden and flower bed maintenance. Tree maintenance. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills Required: Must be able to perform manual work. Able to implement safe work practices. Able to operate light and medium equipment. Able to work independently. Any Horticultural experience / interest is an asset. Valid Driver's license (G or G2). The successful applicant must submit a current driver's abstract and current Criminal Records Police Check satisfactory to the County prior to start date.  Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work afternoon and weekend shifts on a rotating basis. Standard First Aid/CPR C/AED training. CSA approved work boots must be personally supplied by the successful candidate. Duration:  May to August (40 hours/week) Hourly Rate: $18.39 / 19.35 (2025 rate)  Posting closes Monday February 02, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.    You must be enrolled in a post-secondary Institution and returning to school in the fall in order to qualify for this position with the exception of completing a final co-op term.  The County of Brant is committed to accessible recruitment practices.
