Responsibilities

  • Assist in meal preparation and serving for residents
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met

  • Support dietary needs by following specific meal plans
  • Engage with residents during meal times to enhance their dining experience
  • Maintain inventory of food supplies and report shortages
  • Adhere to all health regulations and facility policies
  • Participate in training sessions, including American Sign Language courses.
  • Qualifications
  • Experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
  • Strong communication skills, with a willingness to learn American Sign Language
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Good time management skills
  • Previous experience in food service or preparation is an asset
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Basic cleaning and sanitation knowledge.
