**Responsibilities and duties**:
The Dietary Aide is in responsible of a variety of tasks related to making meals and snacks for residents, serving food, and cleaning the food service areas on a regular basis, all in accordance with the home's rules and the law.

**Dietary Aides are expected to**:

- Help with making food or meals
- Get food and carts ready for service.
- Prepare trays or plates and/or hand out meals and snacks to residents based on their diet lists or individual diet menus and their preferences.
- Follow the care plan for each resident and tell the supervisor right away if something is wrong.
- Set up the meal tables and serving areas.
- Keep the workplace clean and sanitary in line with techniques for preventing infection.
- Other tasks related to food as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Successful finishing the Food Service Worker programme at a well-known college
- Certification for Food Handlers Safety Awareness
- Excellent showing up and being on time
- LTC experience is a plus if you are hardworking, caring, positive, solution-focused, professional, and flexible.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of weight, stand for long periods of time, walk and climb stairs often during the day. Crouch, kneel, stoop, or bend for short amounts of time; can handle heat in the kitchen.
