The Delivery Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through prompt service and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for tracking shipments.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
  • Assist in the maintenance of delivery vehicles, including basic automotive repair when necessary.
  • Operate forklifts and heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading freight.

Qualifications

  • Valid class 3 driver's license with airbrake endorsement required; experience in commercial driving is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance practices is advantageous.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment and forklifts is desirable.
  • Excellent navigation skills with familiarity of local routes and traffic patterns.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) safely.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling deliveries.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively.
