Lumber Yard Associate

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate forklifts and clamp trucks to move lumber products safely within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer orders.
- Load and unload lumber from delivery trucks, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Utilize a warehouse management system to track inventory levels and manage stock.
- Assist in building displays or setups as needed for product presentation.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, including cranes and heavy machinery, to ensure safe operation.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
- Follow all safety protocols while handling heavy materials and operating machinery.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) on a regular basis.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet operational demands.
