Contract Type: Full-time Continuing (1.0 FTE)
Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $63,357 to $112,345, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Relocation Expenses: The successful applicant will be eligible to receive up to $5,000 for moving expenses incurred related to moving or relocating to School District 5 from another community, province, country, etc.
Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers'
Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).
-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.
- Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each
posting.
Job Summary:
Counsellor - Elementary Grades K-6
1.0 FTE continuing contract, starting October 31, 2025 or upon completion of the posting process, to June 25, 2026.
Must have or be working towards a Master's Degree in Counselling, Psychology in Counselling or Psychology.
Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience at the Elementary School level.
Must have training and or experience in trauma-informed practice.
This is a District position, and will support Frank J. Mitchell Elementary School in the community of Sparwood, BC. Please note that all work will be on-site.
