The Opportunity RVS invites you to apply for a temporary, full‑time (1.0 FTE) Elementary Generalist (Grade 1) teaching position starting January 5, 2026 until June 30, 2026, at Cochrane Christian Academy. This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS. Cochrane Christian Academy is located in the Town of Cochrane and serves students from grades K‑8. The Christian Program is an alternative program offered by RVS. The program focuses on integrating the Christian faith and a Biblical world‑view in a public school setting. Cochrane Christian Academy is a community where people and relationships matter, where identity and culture is clearly defined by their Christian faith, and where an excellent learning community is provided for their students. Pre‑employment Requirements Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education. The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment. Applicants must provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from their most recent supervisor, relevant to the job opportunity, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months.
