Salary Range:
The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $19,007 to $33,450, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Job Summary
Online Humanities & ADST Teacher - Grades 7-12
0.30 FTE temporary contract, starting October 21, 2025 or upon completion of the posting process to June 25, 2026.
Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Humanities and ADST at the Secondary School level. Must have formal training and or teaching experience in online learning and fluency with educational technologies.
This position includes teaching fully online in Grades 7-12 Humanities, ADST, and some HPE courses, and may also include some Careers courses. Technological fluency, including proficiency and experience in using digital tools like Microsoft 365 Calendars, Bookings, Teams, managing virtual classrooms like Brightspace, and leveraging technology to enhance communication and engagement with students is required.
This position will have a home base of Kootenay Discovery School in the community of Cranbrook. This is a distance learning school. Please note that all work will be on site.
Please note: Continuing teachers will need to vacate their continuing assignment in order to accept a temporary assignment, unless the FTE is greater in the temporary job posting.
