About Us

We're a family-run farm dedicated to raising animals the right way — on pasture, certified organic, and with care for the land. Every week, we bring our meats straight from our farm to our Edmonton markets. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Retail Manager who shares our passion for good food, strong customer relationships, and hands-on leadership.

About the Role

This is a leadership role for someone who loves both people and process. You'll oversee day-to-day operations at our Gateway Market, manage teams at Bountiful and summer markets, and help shape the customer experience that defines Sunworks. It's a fast-paced, relationship-based environment where no two days are the same — perfect for someone who likes variety and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.

What You'll Do

· Lead and support a team of ~10 staff across multiple market locations

· Oversee scheduling, staffing, training, and team development

· Manage daily operations including inventory, cash handling, and merchandising

· Foster a positive, customer-focused culture where staff feel proud of their work

· Maintain brand consistency and visual standards at all markets

· Ensure product rotation, food safety, and quality are always top priority

· Collaborate with leadership on promotions, events, and market planning

· Provide weekly operational updates and identify areas for improvement

· Help launch and support new retail locations or market expansions

What We're Looking For

· Strong retail management experience — ideally in food, grocery, or farmers' markets

· A genuine passion for local, organic, and sustainable food

· Excellent people skills — someone who naturally builds relationships with both staff and customers

· A self-starter who can balance hands-on tasks with leadership responsibilities

· Valid driver's licence and comfort traveling between markets

· Flexible schedule, including weekends
