Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our Learning Inclusion Support Worker Certificate team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instructional sessions to adult students, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting skill development. This role requires strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to accurately assess student performance.

Each course taught is a separate contract for the length of the course. Must be available to teach between 9am and 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructional content in a clear and engaging manner, utilizing various teaching techniques and resources.
  • Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
  • Communicate effectively with students and program manager regarding academic performance and classroom activities.
  • Stay current with inclusive education best practices and participate in professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Education Assistant Diploma or similar at a minimum
  • Previous teaching or instructional experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes (e.g., learning management systems).
  • Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft products (including Microsoft Teams)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in public school learning inclusive support work or equivalent.
