Burlington, Ontario, Canada Serv-A-Lawn Full time $45,000 - $65,000 per year

Experienced and responsible individual to for a lead hand position in our landscape maintenance division

Must have previous experiencing leading a maintenance crew.

  • Salary/Pay rate based on experience.
  • Year round company position.
  • On-call services during the winter maintenance.
  • Must have a valid G License and clean drivers abstract.
  • Experience in lawn and garden maintenance at Condos and commercial sites.
  • Must know how to manage a crew of 3 or more and work well with other Lead Hands.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities include;

  • Relaying work orders to the crew, checking in with the customers if needed, and relaying information back to owner or supervisors.
  • Landscape App must be used to clock in and out of each site by the lead hand
  • Complete routine inspections of the property before and after each job is completed
  • Circle checks of trucks and trailer and check on maintenance of equipment and tools.
  • Ensure that your crew is following all PPE regulations are being observed in compliance with company and legislative regulations.

Spring, Summer, Fall Responsibilities

  • Full time work Monday-Friday - possible weekends due to weather. We do try to keep working weekends to a minimum in the summer.
  • Operating vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, blowers and pruning saws
  • Care for commercial and residential properties by mulching, weeding, trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls
  • Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge trimmers etc
  • Load and unload work trucks, make sure you have proper tools to complete days tasks.
  • Various other tasks

Winter Maintenance - November 15 to April 15th

  • Winter Maintenance - snow and ice control, run crew for either walks crew / Plow truck if you have experience. Pick up truck with plow/ Ford 550's with plows
  • Maintain and complete accurate records of work completed, vehicle maintenance and damages, site requirements.
  • An Software App is used to help maintain log ins for the site visits
  • Various other tasks

Year round company with snow plow operations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
