Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of painting techniques and processes, as well as experience in a manufacturing environment. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various industrial components. The Industrial Painter will work closely with other team members to maintain production schedules and uphold safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Apply paint using various methods including spray guns, brushes, and rollers to achieve desired finishes.
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments or touch-ups.
- Maintain equipment and tools used in the painting process to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to assemble and fabricate components as required.
- Utilize hand tools, cranes, and forklifts safely during the painting process and material handling.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency in the painting operations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial painter or in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machinery related to painting processes.
- Basic math skills for measuring and mixing paint accurately.
- Familiarity with welding and machining processes is a plus.
- Ability to work with hand tools and operate forklifts or cranes safely.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adhere to industry standards.
