Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of projects. The Painter will work closely with project managers, carpenters, and other trades to deliver exceptional results that meet client specifications and safety standards.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
  • Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and power tools
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project requirements
  • Perform rigging and set up scaffolding or ladders safely for elevated work
  • Execute restoration projects by matching colors and finishes to existing surfaces
  • Use hand tools and carpentry skills for minor repairs or modifications prior to painting
  • Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and cleaning tools after use
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met on time
  • Adhere to safety protocols at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting environments
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, caulking techniques, rigging procedures, and carpentry basics
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently while meeting deadlines
  • Experience with restoration projects is a plus but not required
