The Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Engineer
is responsible for overseeing supplier selection, onboarding, and performance management to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement. This role leads bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation strategies to support successful project execution.

The position reports to the
Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Manager, North America
, and is part of the
Supply Chain and Logistics
group. It operates remotely across
Canada and the USA
, with a strong preference for candidates based in
Ontario, Canada
.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Manage supplier sourcing, onboarding, and relationships in collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Lead bid clarification, evaluate commercial proposals, and award purchase orders to ensure best-value procurement.
• Negotiate and oversee vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with ethics, risk, and company policies.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies and manage change orders or variation claims as needed.
• Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery and continuous improvement through regular evaluations.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain, or Operations Management, with proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
• 5+ years of sourcing and procurement experience in a matrix organization, with strong contract interpretation and relationship management skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized, ensuring compliance with systems, standards, and procedures.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities to deliver sound commercial recommendations and lead successful negotiations.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, able to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• MBA or professional certifications from recognized procurement institutes are a strong asset.
• Prior experience in oil & gas, fabrication, or construction projects is highly desirable.

The
annual salary range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000 CAD.
This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
