Inclusion Canada is currently recruiting for a Director, Partnerships & Development. This is a fulltime permanent position reporting to the Executive Director, Philanthropy. The Director, Partnerships & Development plays a pivotal role in securing funding, nurturing partnerships, and amplifying our national impact. This is a role for a strategic storyteller and relationship-builder who will turn data into compelling narratives, align funders with our mission, and spark engagement that drives real change. Duties & Responsibilities

· Research, write, and manage compelling grant proposals and reports for government, foundation, and corporate funders, in collaboration with program leads and finance teams

· Cultivate meaningful, long-term relationships with funders, partners, and donors

· Lead engagement strategies that deepen trust and demonstrate impact

· Support the creation of powerful promotional assets, from testimonial videos to impact reports, that inspire engagement and support

· Craft narratives that celebrate the real-world impact of inclusion across Canada

· Analyze funding trends and develop annual funding plans that strengthen and diversify the organization's pipeline

· Track funding cycles, ensure compliance, and maintain a high success rate for submissions

· Support virtual and in-person events that raise awareness and build new partnerships

· Connect and engage with communities, volunteers, and donors across the country

· Act as a champion for the organization and its mission

Competencies

· A passion for social justice and equity issues, including the inclusion movement

· Strong public speaking, presentation, and storytelling ability

· The ability to confidently engage with funders, donors, and partners to build trust and alignment

· Strong interpersonal skills, including a professional manner, a collaborative approach, and experience cultivating and maintaining a broad range of relationships

· Strong asset development skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging products that grow support of Inclusion Canada's mission

· Strong stewardship and relationship management, with commitment to funder engagement from initial outreach through post-award follow-up, including sharing outcomes and demonstrating the impact of their support

· Maintains current knowledge of national and provincial funding landscapes, including trends across public, private, and philanthropic sectors

· Integrity, positive energy and attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed

· Attention to detail, strong follow-through, and the ability to remain organized and responsive to immediate needs while assessing action on long-term strategies

· Critical thinking skills, including good judgment and the ability to discern information and messaging that is relevant to the mission and vision of the Organization

· Knowledge of the social justice sector, and particularly the disability sector, considered an asset

Qualifications

· Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience in business, communications, marketing, or related discipline

· Demonstrated experience in grant writing, partnerships, and development, with preference to experience in the nonprofit sector

· Demonstrated experience securing funding and managing relationships with government, corporate, or foundation partners

· Excellent writing, analytical, communication, and computer skills, including proficiency in relationship-tracking database applications

· Verbal and written skills in both official languages (English and French) an asset

· Knowledge of or lived experience with disability or social justice sector an asset

Details: 35hrs/week with comprehensive benefits

Salary range: $97,000 - $117,000 annually depending on experience
