SALARY:
Starting Salary Opportunity: $96,000+
- Actual base pay will depend and vary based on factors such as individual experience and skills of the applicant.
BONUS:
Bonus at Target $24,000
- This role may also be eligible for discretionary long-term incentive awards.
- Variable Compensation opportunities are contingent on individual performance and overall business results, pursuant to the Bonus Plan; listed amount are targeted values and not guarantees

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Commercial Category Manager is part of the Canadian Business unit of the North American regional procurement team based in Toronto, ON. The Category Manager will have responsibility for the procurement needs of the Labatt Sales & Marketing groups based in our Canadian Sales Offices, Commercial Strategy office in New York, NY, and St. Louis. This role will be responsible for project management, analytics, negotiations and implementation of reginal strategy for key Sponsorships, Agency, and Trade Marketing partnerships. The Category manager is expected to deliver financial efficiencies, cash flow, Marketing and Sales category strategy, global alignment and other requirements for Labatt and the internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and strategically execute category spend in excess of $100MM annually assuring legal, quality, timing and brand image is maintained.
- Responsibility for the negotiation, implementation, contracting, and ongoing management of commercial sponsorship agreements for US and Canada.
- Manage the ABI Procurement contractual and business relationship with our sports, entertainment, and agency partners, in close collaboration with the ABI Marketing & Sales teams in New York and Toronto.
- Coordinate category initiatives across internal stakeholder groups, back-office operations, senior management, legal, global procurement office and others.
- Champion the ABInBev Way of purchasing supporting the use and development of standard procurement practices and procedures and utilizing strategic sourcing principles
- Vendor management and measure performance of key suppliers, rationalize vendor base and oversee all supplier selection assuring alignment with stakeholders and corporate objectives thought the Commercial and POCM space.
Job Qualifications
- University degree required
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a business environment
- Strong business acumen
- Experience working with multiple customer groups, stakeholders and a cross functional team environment
- Excellent negotiating skills and communication skills
- Experience managing and motivating people
- Ability to build and leverage relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
