Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Test Lead to join our team. You will manage the Quality Assurance for workstreams within the Concorde Program, a CIBC strategic program that will drive operational efficiency and productivity improvement. The program has high impact and high complexity spanning multiple lines of business and technology groups. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic thinking, exceptional planning and execution capabilities to plan and execute successful SIT, UAT, PAT and E2E QA for the Program. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels and the ability to manage meetings and defect calls efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive SIT, UAT and E2E strategies and test plans.
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of SIT, UAT and E2E test cases to ensure solution quality and alignment with business requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, IT teams, and project management during all phases.
  • Facilitate and manage meetings, status updates, and defect triage calls.
  • Track, manage, and report on progress, risks, and issues, ensuring timely resolution of defects and blockers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless end-to-end testing and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in QA roles, preferably within large-scale or high-visibility projects.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking with a strong ability to plan and execute complex test scenarios.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and meeting management skills, including experience leading defect calls and cross-functional discussions.
  • Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project needs.

How You'll Succeed

  • Testing leader – Lead the creation of a SIT, UAT and PAT Test Plans by partnering with work package level Testing Managers and Leads. Design and manage business process focused end-to-end (E2E) testing activities.
  • Stakeholder Management – Previous experience establishing and maintaining stakeholder and relationships across Business and Technology. Able to lead the preparation of clear, concise QA testing summary dashboards.
  • Matrix Management – Must have strong impact through influence skills and experience working in a matrix environment in a large program. Should be able to form strong relationships at all levels, and partner with other teams to get deliverables done.
  • Creative Problem Solving – Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, understand business context quickly and connect the dots. Must be comfortable operating at a strategic level and also driving into detail as needed, and back. Continuous improvement is part of your DNA.

  2. Experience with manual testing using ALM – 8+ years
  3. Experience with Agile methodology – 5+ years
  4. Experience with leading QA programs – 8+ years
  5. Experience with managing stakeholders – 5+ years
