Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances, ensuring timely delivery of freight across various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight efficiently. Candidates with experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair are highly valued. Duties
- Safely operate long-haul trucks across regional and national routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently while maintaining scheduled delivery times
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when needed to maintain vehicle functionality
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in freight transportation, preferably with long-haul routes
- Knowledge of forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing freight documentation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy

We need someone who can legally cross the border and have verifyable insurance history for minimum of 1 year.
