Senior Property Accountant

Toronto, ON – Hybrid (4 days in-office)


$80,000–$90,000 base + bonus, RRSP plan, and excellent benefits

Our client is a leading commercial real estate company with a long-standing reputation for quality asset management and tenant service. Managing a well-maintained office portfolio across the GTA, they're seeking a
Senior Property Accountant
to join their collaborative finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced property accountant who enjoys full-cycle accounting, detailed analysis, and working closely with property managers in a professional and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting for a commercial office portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Oversee CAM (Common Area Maintenance) and property tax reconciliations, including final billing adjustments.
  • Assist with annual budgets, capital project reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare year-end working papers and liaise with auditors.
  • Monitor cash flow, banking activity, and HST filings.
  • Collaborate closely with property managers, responding to tenant and owner inquiries.
  • Support process improvements and ensure strong internal controls are maintained.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5+ years
    of commercial property accounting experience.
  • Solid understanding of
    CAM and property tax recoveries
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Yardi
    and
    advanced Excel
    skills.
  • CPA designation
    or working toward completion.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
