What is the opportunity?The RBC Dominion Securities Management team located in Vernon, BC is looking for a Branch Operations Supervisor to join their team
The Branch Operations Supervisor provides supervision over the Branch Operations, including an increased level of responsibility in oversight for internal controls with the Branch Management team. High level on involvement in audit and implementation of regulatory policy and procedural rules and regulations.
What will you do?
- Responsible for oversight and processing of all branch cash transactions, including cheques, Bankwires and for processing physical securities
- Ensure Branch and Cage reports are prepared, printed, reviewed (where assigned), distributed and/or presented to Branch Management for review. May review/sign off on some reports prior to submitting to the BM team for final sign off
- Ensure the Branch Operations team executes the filing for all branch operations related reports and documents, oversee branch retention of documents in accordance with internal controls
- Stand in as a branch designate as needed, signature guarantee documents and sign cheques
- Oversight of account opening approvals, this includes reviewing documentation, spotting errors, coaching branch staff on proper procedures
- Assisting with participation in Branch Support Staff meetings to review and educate on Branch Operations updates, common errors and best practices

- Confidence in explaining and instructing co-workers on policies and procedures
- A professional approach to all situations to create a positive working environment
- Ability to complete duties independently seeking out own answers and solutions
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities' systems and procedures, an asset
- Experience in the securities industry is an asset

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable incentive payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals; market conditions; and business needs.
The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000.
This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment.
