Hospitality Technology | Guestroom Management Systems
We are a hospitality technology company specializing in guestroom management systems for hotels. Our products are deployed in hotels worldwide to control lighting, HVAC, power, and guestroom automation. We are looking for a Hardware Engineer to design, develop, and support PCB-based electronic devices used in our guestroom solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on hardware design and wants to see their work deployed in real-world hotel environments. We are open to training candidates who demonstrate strong fundamentals, curiosity, and a great attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Own hardware design from product concept through production
- Create and maintain product requirements, specifications, and design documentation
- Design schematics and electronic architectures for guestroom management and lighting control devices
- Create and maintain PCB designs and BOMs, and collaborate on or review PCB layouts
- Support component selection, circuit design, and design optimization
- Work closely with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and supply-chain teams
- Review designs for DFM, DFA, reliability, and manufacturability
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of hardware
- Assist with troubleshooting and design revisions during development and production
- Support certifications and compliance (UL, FCC, CE, RoHS, etc.)
- Maintain revision control, ECOs, and product updates
- Mentor and guide hardware designers, including design reviews, best practices, and technical support
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in hardware/electronic product design
- Experience or strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design
- Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, Eagle, etc.)
- Understanding of microcontrollers, power supplies, and low-voltage electronics
- Ability to read and create technical documentation and schematics
- Familiarity with costing, sourcing, and supply-chain constraints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Assets / Nice-to-Have
- Experience designing hardware for building automation, IoT, or hospitality systems
- Experience with low-voltage control systems
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations
- Experience bringing products from prototype to production
- Familiarity with certification processes (FCC, CE, UL)
- Experience working with contract manufacturers
- Firmware exposure (even at a basic level)
