Job description:

We are looking for an experienced Shipping Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the shipping process, including tracking, packaging, and labeling. The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all orders are shipped on time and in accordance with customer specifications. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Order fulfillment: Retrieving items from designated storage locations based on customer orders or picking lists.
  • Inventory management: Ensuring accurate inventory counts and updating inventory systems as items are picked.
  • Packing and labeling: Packaging items securely and appropriately for shipment, including selecting appropriate packaging materials, adding labels or shipping documentation, and ensuring proper handling instructions are followed.
  • Quality control: Inspecting items for defects, damages, or incorrect quantities before packing them.
  • Organizing and maintaining work area: Keeping the warehouse or packing area clean, organized, and free from obstacles to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Collaborating with team members: Coordinating with other warehouse staff, such as supervisors, managers, and delivery personnel, to ensure smooth order processing and timely shipments.
  • Continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in picking and packing processes and suggesting process enhancements or modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments.
  • Resolve any issues that arise during the shipping process.

Job Type: Full-time
