Maintenance Planner
in the
Oil and Gas Sector

Rainbow Lake, Alberta.
The position of Contract Maintenance Planner will require detailed planning of maintenance activities for an oil/gas facility in a Northern location in Alberta. This role will be based in Rainbow Lake AB. Schedule is 14 days on, 14 days off at 11.43 hours day. Contractor housing is available

Total Rewards

  • $ $94.00 hourly

  • FIFO from Edmonton and Calgary
  • The successful candidate will receive $1645/month as part of the Rainbow Lake Benefit and has to pay for his own accomodation

A Typical Day

  • Working with multiple teams, this will include but won't be limited to all trade groups and departments - General Maintenance, I&E, and Mechanical
  • This position will partner with Operations staff, Maintenance Coordinators, and Senior traders to review, prioritize, and plan maintenance activities in a designated area
  • Partner with Operations in turnaround planning. Develop task lists for repetitive routine tasks and turn around activities. Facilitate weekly maintenance review meetings with Operations, Maintenance Coordinators and Sr. Coordinators to discuss ongoing activities
  • Participate in monthly cost review and annual budget development meetings with Maintenance Coordinators, Senior Trades, peer Maintenance Planners and Operations
  • Working with multiple teams, this will include but won't be limited to all trade groups and departments - General Maintenance, I&E, and Mechanical
  • Participate in monthly cost review and annual budget development meetings with Maintenance Coordinators, Senior Trades, peer Maintenance Planners and Operations

Successful Candidates Will Have

  • Minimum of 5 yrs. experience with maintenance philosophies, standards, strategies, practices, and processes within the energy industry.
  • Minimum of 5 yrs. of working knowledge of applicable energy industry Codes, Standards, Regulations, and Acts; design and construction practices; pressure and rotating equipment; electrical; instrumentation and controls; and operating process principles
  • Journeyman Trade certification in a recognized oil and gas field trade.
  • Requirements in addition to experience: o First Aid o H2S Alive o Valid driver's license o WHIMIS o TDG o SAP experience o Microsoft and computer proficiency
  • Gas Process Operations (GPO)/Production Field Operations (PFO) levels I,II,III, & IV or A,B,C&D, OGPO (NAIT) Experience
