The Role

We are seeking a Turnaround Planner to join our Turnaround Team located in Central Alberta, near Red Deer. This team executes turnaround events with varying levels of cost and complexity. In this position you will be responsible for developing detailed job plans and packages for our turnaround execution teams.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain effective and efficient detailed execution job plans, packages and libraries that identify all requirements including all specialty tools, all labor, materials and external services to safely execute the workIdentify safety considerations, including safe work procedures or other specific procedures that must be followedAccurately identify all parts, tools, resources and special equipment and sequencing required to execute in alignment with asset care strategies and corrective repair requirementsUnderstand and commit to the corporate Maintenance Work Management (MWM) processes, standard, procedures and working instructions Identify discipline specific isolations to execute the work – Impairments / process isolationsEnsure the required information from the identified resources are included in multidisciplinary jobs and work with other discipline plannersSequence the job to ensure maximum tool time and minimize equipment down timeIdentify required permits to execute the work – CSE / Red Hot / ImpairmentCreate task list as needed and ensure it is accurateCreate and maintain planning history files and job librariesPerform or lead job plan reviews after execution to identify opportunities for continuous improvementParticipate in cross-functional teams including other departmentsExecute work in a manner that reflects OCL Group's valuesContribute to a work environment that supports a motivated, productive teamEscalate issues that require higher authority for input and resolutionMaintain a Continuous Improvement mindset focused on planning and execution productivity in MWMWork as a member of the event management teams to align on event execution strategies for multiple manufacturing units 

Education/Skills/Experience

Degree, technical diploma, or valid Alberta and Inter-provincial (Red Seal) Journeyperson.Ten plus years of industrial maintenance experience including planningStrong commitment to Responsible Care Principles through demonstrated excellence in occupational safety, process safety and environmental stewardshipExperience in a petrochemical, gas, or heavy oil processing plant with extensive experience in planning the PM, Pdm and corrective repairing of the following:
Static equipment, vessels, piping systems, structural steel, towers, tanks, reactors, and various other common heavy industrial stationary equipment.Expert level working capability of industry standard EAM/CMMS software specifically . SAP S4,.and related tools Bluebeam, SPF, Smart plant, and other industry 3D modeling tools.Strong troubleshooting, conflict management, leadership and facilitation skillsAbility to work with and mentor developing team members and provide focal point coverage for contract personnelDemonstrated initiative and organizational skillsDemonstrated mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively and independently with Maintenance, Construction, Operations and Engineering TeamsWell-developed communication, interpersonal and time management skillsCapable of working independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary teamFocused attention to detail with excellent documentation skillsA valid Class 5 Driver's License and  clean drivers abstractMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
