Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time position located in Delhi, ON, as a Proposal Engineer specializing in Electrical/Mechanical engineering. The role involves preparing and writing technical and commercial proposals, collaborating with sales and engineering teams to analyze client requirements, and developing customized solutions. Additional responsibilities include involvement in procurement activities, cost estimation, compliance checks, and ensuring accurate and timely proposal submissions. The engineer will support the sales team in client interactions, provide assistance during the bidding process, and maintain alignment with organizational standards.

Role Overview

The
Proposal Engineer – Electrical/Mechanical
will be responsible for
preparing, managing, and submitting technical and commercial proposals
for electromechanical projects. The role requires close coordination with
engineering, sales, procurement, and project teams
to ensure proposals are
technically compliant, commercially viable, and submitted on time
.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare
  technical and commercial proposals
  for electrical and mechanical systems, including detailed
  BOQs, specifications, and drawings
  .
• Analyze
  tender documents
  (RFPs, RFQs, ITTs) to assess scope, technical requirements, and compliance criteria.
• Liaise with
  vendors, OEMs, and subcontractors
  for quotations, product details, and clarifications.
• Conduct
  costing and value engineering
  to optimize solutions without compromising quality.
• Ensure proposals comply with
  client requirements, international standards, and internal guidelines
  .
• Support
  pre-bid and technical clarifications
  , including presentations, site visits, and client meetings.
• Maintain a
  repository of technical documents, vendor data, and past proposals
  for quick reference.
• Collaborate with the
  project management team
  to ensure proposed solutions are executable within
  time, cost, and quality constraints
  .

Qualification & Skills

Educational Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or related disciplines.

Experience:
8 – 13 years in proposal engineering, preferably in electromechanical, infrastructure, or industrial projects.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of
  electrical & mechanical systems design
  (HVAC, piping, power distribution, instrumentation, etc.).
• Familiarity with
  AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and proposal management tools
  .
• Understanding of
  tendering, costing, and project execution processes
  .
