Job Details:

  • Work in collaboration with team members
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and families
  • Follow a treatment plan created by a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Provide treatment to clients at the clinic

Qualifications Future SLP OR Graduate Certificate as a Communicative Disorders Assistant

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong group facilitation skills. This position will require facilitating various activities with groups of individuals.
  • Experience with program planning and implementation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Experience working with individuals with a variety of needs and diagnoses.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn.
  • Experience working with children with speech, language or literacy concerns.
  • Ability to create and carry out engaging therapy sessions.
  • Ability to adapt to a wide range of client needs.
  • Flexibility and time management skills to manage a continually changing caseload.
  • Proficient in computer skills (Word, Powerpoint, Boardmaker, Social Media)
  • Experience with AAC an asset.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Saturday
  • Weekend availability

Work Location: In person (Markham, Ontario)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
