We serve customers worldwide but mainly in USA and Canada. With production facility in China and Canada, we are securing a strong brand and reputation in low volume Turn-key PCB assembly in the EMS industry.

Currently, we require a Procurement/IQC Specialist to assist our purchasing team and IQC team to fulfill company's growing business needs. Salary is dependent upon experience.

Work Type: On Site

Responsibilities (not exhaustive)

Procurement:

  • Cost Reduction planning and execution
  • Management and maintenance of Suppliers (selection, qualification, monitor performance, supplier corrective actions)
  • Resolve Accounts Payable issues as it applies to supplier deliveries
  • Carry on RFQ process and generating PO as per procurement policies
  • Maintain and update systems (ERP and BTS) for all the procurement activities
  • Tracking parts shipped from suppliers to make sure on time delivery of parts
  • Communicating all stock issues with clients to get orders executed effectively and on time
  • Developing Knowledge Base, procedures and online support tools to improve service efficiency
  • Dealing with our China team to resolve the issues or concerns regarding the parts or other process issues related to the China facility.
  • Handling and managing high budget orders

IQC:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests of incoming electronic components, materials, and assemblies in accordance with established quality control procedures and specifications.
  • Utilize various inspection methods, including visual inspection, dimensional measurements, and functional testing, to assess the quality and performance of incoming materials.
  • Identify and document non-conforming items, defects, and discrepancies, and initiate appropriate corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, engineering, and production teams to address quality-related issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and quality documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes, optimize efficiency, and minimize defects in incoming materials.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality control procedures to promote a safe and productive work environment for all team members.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electronic Engineering or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in quality control, procurement or supply chain management is preferred.
  • Previous experience in procurement, quality control, inspection, or testing, particularly in electronic manufacturing or a related industry, is advantageous.
  • Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with electronic components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and analyze issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools, testing equipment, and quality inspection techniques.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Organized, self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and pressure.
  • Effective time management skills as well as prioritization and execution to ensure optimization of results with minimal lost time.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers.
  • Strong skills with MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
