**Job Description Summary**: As a GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) Procurement Specialist, you will work cross-functionally in close partnership GEH business teams to execute on key sourcing operations and project deliverables.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

**Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Provide key procurement process interface with Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Suppliers, Projects, Logistics, Commercial, Construction and Site personnel
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality to develop Procurement Packages
- Point of contact for supplier issue resolution
- Work closely with Sourcing and Quality leaders to manage supplier performance
- Oversee supplier schedule and progress updates
- Point of contact for GEH teams to interface with the supplier
- Support Lean culture by working cross functionally to improve purchasing process and supporting systems
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college, university, or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in sourcing, project management, commercial, engineering, manufacturing, or quality discipline in a highly technical and/or highly regulated industry, **OR**:

- High school diploma or equivalent with five (5) years of experience in procurement engineering (or closely related field) in a highly technical and/or highly regulated industry.
- One year (1) experience with CSA standards (Canadian Standards Association)

**Eligibility Requirements**
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time as required; remote workers may require additional travel.

**Desired Characteristics**
- A Degree in supply chain, business, or engineering from a regionally accredited college, university, or equivalent
- Nuclear industry experience
- Background in design processes, engineering work, and/or technical document control
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and leadership skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Capable of working successfully in a matrix organization to drive results
