Dhitek is recruiting a
Senior Enterprise Architect
to support and oversee the Government of Alberta's enterprise technology ecosystem. This role is responsible for defining and maintaining enterprise architecture frameworks, aligning technology with business strategy, and guiding large‑scale transformation projects across multiple domains.

This position requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and experience in government or enterprise environments. The successful candidate will actively communicate and promote architecture vision, strategy, and principles while ensuring integrated, cost‑effective solutions.

Scope of Services

  • Develop and maintain Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks
  • Align technology with business strategy
  • Assess current state architecture and create target state architectures
  • Guide large‑scale transformation projects
  • Set standards, principles, and governance
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT
  • Model business processes and capabilities
  • Manage risk and security considerations
  • Support solution architects and engineering teams
  • Drive cost optimization and manage technical debt

Must‑Have Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field

Professional Certification

  • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification

Technical Experience (Mandatory)

  • 8 years – Leading cross‑functional agile product teams
  • 8 years – Identifying and assessing requirements across multiple architecture domains
  • 8 years – Planning, designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise platform solutions
  • 7 years – Documenting application architectures in enterprise IT environments
  • 5 years – Architecting, managing, and maintaining Azure Red Hat OpenShift clusters
  • 8 years – Providing leadership, planning, estimating, and presenting technical strategies

Other Requirements

  • Eligibility for Enhanced Security Clearance
  • Ability to work onsite in Edmonton (hybrid model, minimum 3 days/week)

Nice‑to‑Have Experience

  • 5 years – Contributing to or developing application architecture standards
  • 5 years – Designing or maintaining solutions using amCharts, mobile platforms, or OWASP Top Ten practices
  • 5 years – Collaborating with stakeholders to optimize enterprise solutions
  • 5 years – Developing application architecture for web and mobile solutions
