Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in custodial or commercial cleaning. Prior experience with hand tools, power tools, or facilities maintenance is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and customer service are highly valued.

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks across various facilities, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for specialized cleaning or maintenance tasks when necessary
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and other custodial machinery
  • Conduct basic facilities maintenance to ensure equipment and fixtures are in good working order
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing
  • Ensure all cleaning activities meet health and safety standards
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing any cleaning-related concerns promptly and professionally
  • Follow established protocols for heavy lifting and proper use of cleaning chemicals

Experience

  • Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred, with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and basic facilities maintenance techniques is advantageous
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks within scheduled timeframes
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond to client needs
  • Experience in heavy lifting and physical tasks required for maintaining large or complex facilities
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 10 per week
