Steamoji is a maker academy that complements and enriches children's school education by introducing them to emerging technologies in fabrication, physical computing, engineering, and digital arts. Our mission is to empower students to imagine, create, share, and continuously improve their ideas and solutions.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Public Speaking Instructor with a strong foundation in communication and a working knowledge of STEM concepts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with youth and can foster confidence, creativity, and clarity in public speaking among students aged 7–14.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver fun, interactive public speaking lessons tailored to school-aged children
  • Integrate STEM-related themes into student speeches and presentations
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that builds confidence
  • Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with the Steamoji team to align lessons with our broader curriculum
  • Develop and submit lesson materials for review and approval by the Director and Vice Director

Qualifications

  • Background in public speaking, communications, education, or a related field
  • Familiarity with STEM concepts or experience in STEM education
  • Experience teaching or mentoring children is preferred
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Creative, energetic, and passionate about youth development

Schedule

  • Weekday afternoons or weekends (flexible based on availability and programming needs)

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
