Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an education assistant certificate (preferred) and a passion for working with children in an engaging learning environment. This role involves delivering classes in Burnaby and Vancouver schools, with training provided in Richmond. A reliable vehicle is required for travel between locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver interactive lessons in accordance with the provided curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
  • Lead engaging building and science activities
  • Explain STEM concepts in simple, interactive ways
  • Manage class materials and maintain safety standards
  • Communicate positively with parents and coordinators
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and program outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills Education and Experience:

  • Certification as an Education Assistant or equivalent (preferred).
  • Enthusiastic about science, engineering, and education
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups of children
  • Experience teaching/tutoring is an asset (training provided)
  • Ideal for university students or graduates in science, engineering, or education
