YOUR CHALLENGE

The new Campbellton regional community is searching for an exceptional and motivated individual known for their engaging, innovative, strategic and collaborative leadership style to occupy the important role of Director of Citizen Services within its senior leadership team.

In a transformational reality, this new position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality services and ensuring the effective execution of maintenance and construction projects. The Director of Citizen Services will be able to rely on a strong and stable team to assist them in achieving their goals and for the regular management of departments and their workforce.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

  • As lead of these different departments, your main role is to ensure that the municipality's citizens receive quality service in the areas of roads, water and sewer, building maintenance, and equipment fleet. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately 40 employees and managers to achieve your department's goals.
  • You will participate in the planning, optimizing, and delivering quality services and asset management. You will need to collaborate with different departments of the organization to develop effective strategies to meet the needs of citizens while maximizing the use of resources and respecting allocated budgets.
  • You will monitor budget control and implement strategies to ensure the achievement of set objectives and the tracking of established resources and projects. You will also need to monitor and implement performance indicators that cover different aspects, such as service quality, continuous improvement, working conditions, and optimization.
  • You will work towards achieving the set objectives for the departments and the municipality. You will apply different human resource management policies, such as performance evaluations, recognition programs, disciplinary record management, etc.
  • Finally, you must take the necessary actions to ensure compliance with rules and workplace health and safety standards and provide technical support and project control.
Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

As the ideal candidate, you possess strong personal values and a work ethic. You can work in a bilingual work environment and speak and write both official languages fluently. You are a licensed professional in Canada, with a university degree and relevant experience in civil or municipal engineering, project management, and personnel management.

You have excellent interpersonal skills and the necessary motivation to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
