We are currently looking for a Journeyman Parts Person who is experienced and detail-oriented to join our team in our Edmonton office. This role will support both the Parts and Service Departments, including handling incoming service calls, coordinating service requests, and working closely with shop technicians. We are a certified AMVIC & CVIP repair facility.
Requirements:
· MUST HAVE – Parts Technician Experience minimum 1 year with *heavy equipment/trucks* (Kenworth, Cummins, Freightliner, Detroit, CAT, MACK, Western Star, Peterbilt and Sterling etc.)
· MUST HAVE – Journeyperson Certificate
· MUST HAVE – Heavy Duty Parts experience
· MUST HAVE – Advanced computer skills
· MUST BE ABLE – To work in a high volume and high pressure environment
· MUST BE ABLE – To present yourself in a positive, professional manner at all times to colleagues and customers
· MUST BE ABLE – To effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions from co-workers, managers, customers and the general public when required
· MUST BE ABLE – To work with receiving, issuing, handling, ordering, and accounting for shop parts and working strategically to keep up on work orders and organization of paperwork within shop.
· MUST BE ABLE – Work on all estimated costs and in as much detail as necessary for repairs
· Ensure accuracy of all data on work order and costs involved
· Ensure accuracy of all data in computer system
· Perform additional administrative duties as deemed necessary
· Physical ability to perform medium to heavy duty manual labour in regards to truck and trailer parts, including reaching top shelves with the aid of a ladder and truck part inventory control.
· Any other duties as set forth by Management.
· Experience in Axon Trucking Software would be an asset
· Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers' License
