**Parts Technicians play** an integral role in supporting our warehouse operations through:

- Maximizing inventory accuracy and integrity
- Liaison with the client and our warehouse team
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies
- Support warehouse team: answer questions, offer guidance
- Resolving quarantined material via vendor engagement

**Summary**

The Parts Technician’s main role is to ensure that the flow of materials are following proper internal and external processes and our client’s needs are being met, from both a service and quality perspective. Working closely with the warehouse, inventory, and quality departments, this position is a key member of the team at our location at 6474 Roper Road SW in Edmonton.

**Reporting Structure**: This position reports to the Operations Manager

**Schedule**: M-F 0800 - 1630

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments as per receiving and shipping schedules or department priorities.
- Managing and investigating quarantined material, working directly with customer and vendor key contacts
- Ensure Backloaded Materials are managed effectively as per client direction.
- Assist with the preparation of material in conjunction with the Warehouse Supervisor to be shipped.
- Work with Client, Vendors, and Warehouse Staff to rectify material discrepancies.
- Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records.
- Provides accurate and timely documentation of material and product movement.
- Work with warehouse leaders on continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Day to day inventory accuracy, cycle count and continuous improvement programs.
- Track and report on inventory issues, analyze trends and determine corrective action
- Drive improvements in product stocking methods and processes.
- Maintain professional relationship with customer, and vendor representatives all times.
- Take lead on investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies detected in ad hoc and formal count events.
- Complete transactions in client warehouse system as requested.
- Maintain diligent understanding of warehouse processes, such as receiving / put away / picks / goods issue / returns to ensure comprehensive investigation of concerns.
- Monitor materials with expiration dates and ensure expired parts are handled accordingly.
- Coordinate with client supply chain leads and warehouse analysts to perform material transfers, inventory adjustments, and material scrapping/liquidation.
- Attend meeting and provide reports as required.
- Uphold and practice a safe working environment per site and company policies.

**Qualifications**:

- 2-3 years as a Parts Technician or equivalent experience
- Red Seal Parts Technician considered an asset
- Industrial warehouse experience, preferably oil & gas
- Experience handling quality documentation (MTR, CRN, etc.) considered an asset
- Experience with Metal Trace or similar Document Management & Traceability software considered an asset
- 2-3 years SAP / equivalent inventory system experience
- Forklift / warehouse equipment experience an asset
- Demonstrated Customer Service Experience
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
- Respectful of others and willing to offer guidance as needed
- Strong ability to professionally handle high stress situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Detail oriented / strong analytical and creative thinker
- Willingness to take initiative / self-motivated
- Skilled in time management
- Valid driver’s license

**Salary**: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
