Are you a certified Journeyman Parts Technician with a strong technical background in gas compression equipment? Surepoint is hiring a Parts Technician to join our dynamic team based out of Edson, AB We are looking for a highly organized, customer-focused professional to ensure accurate and efficient parts sales, inventory, and supply for our external customers and internal field service technicians.

Responsibilities
- Accurately identify, source, and sell gas compression and heavy-duty mechanical parts.
- Develop and follow up on quotes, ensuring timely and competitive pricing.
- Research, procure, and process parts orders, returns, and shipments.
- Work with the team on parts inventory, including stock optimization, cycle counts, and organization to ensure data integrity and optimal stock levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams, providing reliable technical support.
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships, resolve customer inquiries/discrepancies, and maintain the customer information database..
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, and local deliveries, operating forklifts or material-handling equipment if needed.
- Participate in Surepoint's HSE program while living Surepoint's PROS values.
- Participate in afterhours ON CALL schedule as required.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Parts Technician Certification (Red Seal preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive parts department experience — gas compression or heavy-duty mechanical background an asset
- Strong technical knowledge of gas compression equipment (engines and compressors)
- Proven inventory and order coordination experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with MS Dynamics Great Plains preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate warehouse equipment safely
- Professionalism, integrity, and initiative — with a commitment to quality and teamwork
