Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and testing software applications across various platforms, including mobile, web, and desktop environments. Candidates should possess strong technical expertise, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for quality assurance and software development.
Duties
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, IT, Logistics, Warehousing) to gather and analyze business requirements for custom in-house TMS and WMS applications
- Translate business processes into functional and non-functional specifications
- Work closely with product managers and domain experts to distill complex business problems into elegant technical solutions
- Produce detailed documentation for new and existing systems, including use cases, workflows, data flow diagrams, and technical requirements
- Work closely with the C#/.NET and development teams to ensure requirements are accurately implemented
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to track progress and clarify requirements
- Analyze data from SQL Server 2022 to identify trends, root causes, and improvement areas.
- Work with Power BI Report Server to define KPIs and support dashboard/report design.
- Assist QA in preparing test cases and validating that implemented features meet business requirements
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) with stakeholders and coordinate sign-off processes
- Document and analyze integration points within the in-house .NET-based integration platform and external logistics partners
- Identify process automation opportunities to streamline workflows across transportation and warehousing systems
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a Software Analyst, Business Analyst, or Systems Analyst role
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (preferably Agile/Scrum)
- Experience working with Microsoft technologies
- Proficiency in writing queries and analyzing data using SQL Server 2022
- Familiarity with ASP.NET Core, C#, and front-end technologies like
- Ability to document complex business processes using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or
- Experience with Progress ABL or ability to adapt and translate from existing programming knowledge to understand current systems
- Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar BI tools
- Knowledge of logistics, transportation, or warehousing operations is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in the logistics or supply chain industries a plus
- Familiarity with EDI formats and integration strategies common in logistics
- Experience in documenting APIs and understanding RESTful service interactions
- Exposure to Azure Functions or cloud-native architecture patterns
- Experience in change management and training end-users on new features or systems
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
