Commercial Litigation Law Clerk – 3+ Years

Location: Toronto, ON | Hybrid

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

Talent Renew is partnering with a well-established Ontario law firm seeking a motivated Commercial Litigation Law Clerk to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a law clerk with 3+ years of commercial litigation experience to work on meaningful files while collaborating in a supportive office environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will assist lawyers with all aspects of commercial litigation files, including drafting and managing pleadings, affidavits, trial briefs, motion records, and other court documents. You will handle discovery processes, communicate professionally with clients and court staff, and maintain organized files to meet deadlines efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist lawyers with all aspects of commercial litigation matters

  • Draft and manage legal documents, pleadings, affidavits, and correspondence

  • Prepare motion records, trial briefs, and court filings

  • Manage document production, undertakings, and discovery processes

  • Communicate with clients, experts, and court staff with professionalism and tact

  • Organize and maintain files to ensure deadlines are met accurately

What We're Looking For:

  • Graduate of a recognized Ontario Law Clerk program (ILCO certified)

  • 3+ years of experience as a Law Clerk in commercial litigation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
