JOB OVERVIEW:

D Spot Dessert Café feels that our Servers play a vital role in the operation. They are the heart of the café and are the people responsible for creating a positive customer experience. Servers must go above and beyond for their customers to ensure they are welcomed with a smile, and left with a positive experience.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring Food Service standards are met by maintaining a hygienic and clean work environment
  • Responsible for creating a positive customer experience
  • Clearing tables
  • Greeting customers
  • Ensure customers expectations are met and to leave customers with a positive experience
  • Ensuring siverware, napkins, and condiments are stocked and ready to use.
  • In the event of an absence, filling in, by being a productive team member if needed
  • Working as a team player with fellow staff members to ensure all food items are delivered at the appropriate time and temperature
  • Adhering to grooming, appearance and uniform standards consistently.
  • clean washrooms and make sure restrooms always have necessary supplies
  • Following clear and concise instructions. Duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous serving experience is necessary
  • Food Handlers Certificate is an asset
  • Friendly, attentive, and respectful communication skills required
  • Must be a team player
  • Positive interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to list up to 55 lbs
  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance is key
  • Must be honest and work with a great deal of integrity
  • Must be able to communicate with managers, staff and customers

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.85 per hour
