SummaryA Few Good Lads is seeking experienced Formwork Carpenters for opportunities across Canada and the United States. You will be working with major construction firms on commercial, industrial, civil, and infrastructure projects involving heavy concrete work.
Ideal candidates will have solid experience with form setting, concrete structures, and blueprint interpretation. This role is best suited for individuals who are comfortable working in fast-paced environments and committed to producing high-quality work with a strong focus on safety.
Responsibilities & DutiesConstruct, install, and dismantle formwork for concrete foundations, walls, slabs, columns, and structuresBuild and set up wood, steel, and modular forms Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specificationsMeasure, cut, shape, and assemble form materials to exact dimensionsInstall rebar supports, bracing, and hoarding structuresEnsure formwork is properly aligned, secured, and structurally soundAssist with concrete pours and monitor form integrityBuild chutes and temporary structures for concrete placementIdentify deficiencies and perform required adjustments or repairsMaintain a clean and safe work environmentMentor apprentices or less experienced carpenters as neededMinimum Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Formwork CarpenterExperience with commercial, civil, or industrial concrete workValid Fall Protection certification and own harnessCSTS & WHMIS Ability to read blueprints and layout drawingsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamComfortable working in wet, muddy, or fast-changing environmentsStrong commitment to safety standards, PPE, and site protocolsHow to Apply
