We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Associate Therapist to join our growing private practice in Kitchener. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, offering both in-person and virtual sessions.

As an independent contractor, you'll have the freedom to manage your own schedule while benefiting from a supportive practice environment. You'll provide evidence-based therapy to clients struggling with a range of mental health concerns, helping them build meaningful change in their lives. This role is ideal for a therapist who values authenticity, client-centered care, and a down-to-earth approach to therapy.

Duties

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations with clients to determine therapeutic need.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client goals and progress.
  • Provide direct therapy services to adults and couples.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Respond to client enquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Participate in practice meetings about caseload and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Registered with CRPO in good standing - RP (Qualifying) encouraged to apply
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Active professional liability insurance in Ontario.
  • Available 5-10 hours per week, with evening availability 1 day per week.
  • Skills: Self-motivated, strong time-management and communication skills.
  • Equipped with laptop, high speed internet and a private work space for virtual work.
  • Prior work experience in the mental health field.

Nice-to-Have

  • Certifications or training in modalities like EMDR, Neurofeedback, Somatic Therapy, Couples Therapy
  • Experience using Jane or other practice management softwares.
