Our client operates a high-profile hospitality destination in one of Canada's premier mountain regions. With multiple dining outlets serving a diverse guest base, they are seeking an Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations and elevate the overall food experience. This role is ideal for a progressive, hands-on culinary leader who thrives in high-volume, multi-outlet environments and brings a strong creative approach to menu development. The Executive Chef will oversee all culinary operations, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes across several service formats. They will lead a skilled team, foster a culture of creativity and excellence, and take ownership of developing innovative menus that reflect both the destination and current culinary trends. While administrative capabilities are valuable, the primary focus of this role is on creative leadership, operational execution, and maintaining culinary standards.
The salary is $110K plus bonus and subsidized accommodation for up to one year.
This opportunity is located in the Mountain Region, AB.
Description
- Lead culinary operations across multiple outlets, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Develop, test, and implement innovative menus that align with guest expectations and overall brand standards.
- Provide strong team leadership, coaching, and development to cultivate a high-performing kitchen brigade.
- Collaborate with operations leadership on food quality, cost management, and service delivery.
- Oversee food safety, sanitation, inventory controls, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Maintain a visible, hands-on presence in the kitchens to support consistency, training, and team engagement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef in high-volume, multi-outlet operations.
- Demonstrated creativity, progressive culinary thinking, and a willingness to push boundaries.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to positively influence culture and team performance.
- Experience in destination, resort, attraction-based, or multi-outlet hospitality environments is an asset.
- Solid organizational and administrative abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency.
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, guest-focused environment.
