Propell is seeking an experienced Senior Production Planner to join our Supply Chain team in Calgary. This role is critical to ensuring efficient production planning, material flow, and inventory management across the manufacturing lifecycle. The Senior Planner works closely with Production, Operations, and Supply Chain stakeholders to balance demand, capacity, and inventory while supporting on-time delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Inventory Planning

  • Develop and execute production and inventory plans aligned with forecasted demand and operational capacity.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to plan, release, and manage materials throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules in response to demand changes, constraints, or supply disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate capacity data and collaborate with production teams to support realistic and achievable plans.

Supply Chain Coordination

  • Partner with management and cross-functional teams to align supply chain requirements with business objectives.
  • Apply appropriate ordering strategies and inventory replenishment methods to optimize service levels and inventory investment.
  • Identify potential shortages, bottlenecks, or risks and drive timely resolution.

Communication & Decision-Making

  • Provide regular production and material status updates to management.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions related to quality issues, product holds, and non-conformance items impacting production.
  • Make informed planning decisions based on capacity, constraints, and competing priorities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning accuracy, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
