The Pharmacy Intern will work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists to gain hands-on experience in a specialty pharmacy setting. This role supports the provision of high-quality patient care by assisting with medication dispensing, clinical services, and administrative tasks. The intern will develop skills in specialty medication management, patient counseling, and pharmacy operations while adhering to regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing specialty medications.
  • Support patient care activities, including medication counseling and adherence monitoring.
  • Perform data entry, prescription verification, and insurance coordination.
  • Participate in clinical programs such as prior authorization and patient education initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in learning opportunities to enhance knowledge of specialty disease states and therapies.
