Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with immigration processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. The role involves managing complex documentation, coordinating with various stakeholders, and utilizing a range of computer applications to streamline case management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance to clients on immigration procedures and requirements
  • Prepare, review, and submit immigration applications and supporting documents accurately and timely
  • Maintain comprehensive records of client interactions and case statuses using databases and records management systems
  • Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and internal teams via phone, email, and in-person meetings
  • Conduct research on immigration laws and policy updates to ensure compliance and provide up-to-date advice
  • Manage project timelines using tools such as Microsoft Project and SharePoint to ensure efficient case progression
  • Assist in organizing seminars or informational sessions to educate clients about immigration options
  • Negotiate with authorities or third-party vendors when necessary to facilitate application processes
  • Support administrative functions including filing, procurement, data entry, and document management

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Access; experience with SharePoint is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual ability in French is highly desirable
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating client documentation and legal requirements
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or similar platforms
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of databases, records management, filing systems, and procurement procedures
  • Effective negotiation skills for liaising with government agencies or external partners
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently
  • Leadership qualities for guiding clients through complex processes and collaborating within teams
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

This role is ideal for candidates who possess a combination of technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and a passion for helping individuals navigate immigration pathways successfully.

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $31,861.95-$70,201.79 per year
