About the Opportunity

We are currently expanding and have an open opportunity for a full-time Project Manager to join our team in Campbell River, BC.

As the new Project Manager you will play a key role in managing exterior finishing projects. Your responsibility will be managing all aspects of your assigned projects and their overall success. You will plan, monitor, administer, and close out each assigned project considering labour, material, equipment, quality, safety, schedule, and costs. You'll be a key member of our team, helping us deliver timely and quality services.

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage and be responsible for the success of projects, from beginning to end, ensuring customer satisfaction and obligations are met.
  • Review and understand drawings, specifications, and project scope.
  • Manage and fulfil customer contracts.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for scope changes and change requests.
  • Issue RFIs, submittals, specifications, and warranty information as needed.
  • Prepare and issue shop drawings and as-builts as needed.
  • Manage field staff including site supervisors and foremans.
  • Acquire quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure best pricing.
  • Manage material lists, orders, on-time deliveries, and storage.
  • Manage equipment use, transport, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Manage subcontracts, changes, and coordination of subcontractors.
  • Enforce safety and quality control measures and protocol.
  • Review project invoices, control costs, and budgeting.
  • Manage and enforce project schedules.
  • Collaborate with estimators to ensure smooth project handoffs and closeouts.
  • Maintain and update filing systems, tracking tools, and databases.
  • Understanding building codes and product applications and specifications.

About You

To qualify for this position, you will need to demonstrate adequate construction, exterior finishing, and project management experience. In addition, this role requires a valid driver's license.

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:

  • Experience with exterior siding systems or general construction assemblies.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software such as Bluebeam.
  • Experience with project management tools and software.
  • Proficiency in navigating and updating Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Building Codes, standards, and compliance.
  • Ability to manage digital filing systems and digital documentation effectively.
  • Proficiency in Project Management tasks and budgets.
  • Great organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective task management.
  • Willing and able to create and document processes and operating procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Leadership and people management skills.
